Course Overview

An appointed person is an individual who is responsible for First Aid procedures such as maintaining Accident Books etc along with overseeing the First Aid equipment and supplies. This first aid appointed person training course is perfect for small and very low risk businesses or where additional personnel are required for compliance in larger companies.

This first aid appointed person training course will allow your business to meet its compliance obligations and ensure suitable first aid equipment can be provided in the event of an accident in the workplace. Please be aware, businesses must be able to prove, by a suitable risk assessment, that no first aiders or emergency first aiders are required on their site if they intend to only have Appointed Persons available.

It is very important to note; however, that if you have staff members or public visiting which could have diabetes, asthma, heart conditions or allergies that these must be recorded in your risk assessment. Subsequently under these circumstances the HSE recommend you have a fully trained First Aid at Work (3-day) trained individual as these conditions are only covered on a full course and not the Emergency First Aid At Work.
