Course Overview

This is a level 3 qualification specifically designed for those who are involved in any form activity/sport both in a professional capacity and in leisure and recreation.

This course comprises of two units including first aid essential knowledge and skills. Basic life support is fully covered along with conditions likely to occur in a first aid scenario which makes this qualification suitably comprehensive.

Day 1 of this course (unit 1) comprises of the level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid (EFAW) and as such anyone wishing to gain this course can sit day 1 of this qualification.

This course is compliant with up-to-date HSE guidelines and meets the requirements of the FAA awarding body as part of the FAA Level 3/6 (level 6 in Scotland). Individuals will receive a level 3/6 FAA RQF certificate which is valid for a further three years. This comprehensive course includes theory and scenario training for various activity first aid emergencies. After completing this course, the learner will be provided with the skills they require to provide prompt, safe and effective Activity based first aid.

This regulated course can also be run as a blended course, with some theory modules being taught remotely (1-day) and the rest including all practical modules through face-to-face learning (1-day). If you are interested in this, please contact our office.

Qualification:

Regulated 3 Year FAA Level 2/5 (level 5 in Scotland) Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) and a 3 Year Advanced Safety Group Emergency First Aid Certificate.
