From September 2020, the Government announced that health education including basic first aid training is to be compulsory in all state-funded schools in England.
This course enables secondary schools to meet their statutory duties in health education whilst also teaching students new life skills, allowing them to achieve a regulated qualification and enhance their CV. This 3-hour course is specifically designed for key stage 3 and 4 students (11 years +) and aligns with the Department of Education and their requirements for Student First Aid Training.
Individuals will receive a level 2 (level 5 in Scotland) FAA RQF/SCQF certificate which is valid for three years. This course includes theory and scenario training for various accident and emergency events. After completing this course, the learner will be provided with the skills they require to provide prompt, safe and effective Student First Aid.
