Course Overview

This course is designed for those who already hold a valid First Aid at Work qualification which is about to expire or expired in the last 28 days. By taking part in this course you re-validate your certification for a further 3 years. It is important to remember that First Aiders with expired certificates are no longer considered competent to act as a First Aider in the workplace, which can leave an employer vulnerable under Health and Safety law.

This course renews a First Aid at Work qualification for a further 3 years, providing that the original certificate has not expired beyond one month (or up to 3 months with prior written approval from the awarding body explaining ‘special considerations’).

This course is compliant with up-to-date HSE guidelines and meets the requirements of the FAA awarding body as part of the FAA Level 3 (level 6 in Scotland). Individuals will receive a level 3/6 FAA RQF/SCQF certificate which is valid for a further three years. This comprehensive course includes theory and in-depth scenario training for various workplace First Aid incidents. After completing this course, the learner will be provided with the skills they require to provide prompt, safe and effective First Aid in an emergency.

This course enables an employer to meet their statutory requirements outlined in Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

This regulated course can also be run as a blended course, with some theory modules being taught remotely (1-day) and the rest including all practical modules through face-to-face learning (1-day). If you are interested in this, please contact our office.
