This course will enable delegates to administer oxygen safely and effectively to casualties with breathing difficulties. Each delegate will learn how and when to administer oxygen to a casualty along with understanding safe administration and how to safely store and carry and transport cylinders.
This course is targeted towards qualified First Aiders, Emergency First Aiders, staff in a dental care settings along with nurse, healthcare professionals and anyone else working where oxygen is available to treat a casualty or patient.
Individuals will receive a level 3 (level 6 in Scotland) FAA RQF/SCQF certificate which is valid for three years. This course includes theory and practical training in safe and effective oxygen therapy administration providing learners with the skills they require to provide prompt, safe and effective care for a casualty.
HSE highly recommends that any first aid trained person in any field requires annual refreshers courses to maintain their competency, and in particular Oxygen Therapies.
