1 Day – Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

Health and Safety law requires that employers provide safe and healthy workplaces for employees to work in. One critical part of this is ensuring you have staff trained as qualified first aiders through a regulated course. This regulated qualification will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel and satisfies the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) code of practice.

The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (EFAW) covers many of the emergencies that would occur in a workplace. This course is compliant with up-to-date HSE guidelines and meets the requirements of the FAA awarding body as part of the FAA Level 3 (level 6 in Scotland). Individuals will receive a level 3 RQF or level 6 SCQF FAA certificate which is valid for three years. This comprehensive course includes theory and scenario training for various workplace first aid incidents. After completing this course, the learner will be provided with the skills they require to provide prompt, safe and effective emergency first aid in an emergency.

This course enables an employer to meet their statutory requirements outlined in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

This regulated course can also be run as a blended course, with some theory modules being taught remotely (2-hours) and the rest including all practical modules through face-to-face learning (4-hours). If you are interested in this, please contact our office.
