Course Overview

Fire Safety compliance within an organisation is a legal requirement (The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005). This requires that all employees are fire safety trained at the beginning of their employment and at regular intervals thereafter. It requires that there are enough trained and appointed personnel on site at any one time. This fully regulated course will help you comply with your legal duty as an employer.

Fires in the workplace can have devastating effects in terms of lives lost and injuries to staff or the public and cause catastrophic property/equipment damage, damage to the environment and also to business continuity. It is believed that virtually all fires are preventable through good practice and well-trained Fire Safety staff.

This course is specifically designed for any employee and introduces them to fire awareness, it is also a powerful tool as part of an induction programme for new employees. The course covers how fires can occur and what to do in the event of a fire, along with how to help minimise the risk of fires etc. This qualification is perfect as a steppingstone to a higher qualification in fire safety or indeed health and safety. Courses of which are also available through our dedicated team of trainers.
